HOW ARE BUSINESSES DETERMINED TO BE "LGBT+ FRIENDLY"?

Every business listed in the directory has completed the Business Survey.  Businesses are considered "LGBT+ friendly" if they respond affirmatively to more than one question on the survey.  Additionally, many of the businesses listed in the directory have displayed their support of the LGBT+ community by supporting Polestar.  Word of mouth affirmation of a business' LGBT+ friendly services/status is always welcome.

CAN I SUGGEST A BUSINESS?

Absolutely!  Fill out our Suggest A Business form and tell us why you feel the business should be included.  We love to hear about your good experiences in our wider community.

 

HOW CAN I LIST MY BUSINESS?

If you are the owner or manager of a business and would like your business to appear in our LGBT+ friendly business directory, fill out our Business Survey and tell us why you should be listed.  Polestar LGBT+ Community Center reserves the right to not list your business if your responses indicate that you are not supportive of the LGBT+ community.

IF I DISAGREE WITH A LISTING/HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH A LISTED BUSINESS, CAN I ASK THAT IT BE DE-LISTED?

If you had a bad experience with a business listed on our directory, email us at info@tcpolestar.org and tell us about it.  Polestar LGBT+ Community Center reserves the right to retain or delete the listing and may or may not de-list the business based on anecdotal evidence from members of the LGBT+ community.

IS THERE A COST TO LIST A BUSINESS?
